Games to help you ace the ISEB and CAT4 tests
In our previous post, we explored three engaging video games that can help enhance your child’s logic and problem-solving skills, perfect for preparing your child for ISEB and CAT-4 pre-tests which are used for entry to UK boarding schools and Hong Kong international schools.
Now, we’re excited to share two additional titles that continue this theme, offering fun and challenging experiences for players of all ages.
1. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training
Those of us old enough to remember the Nintendo DS will be thrilled to hear that Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
This game includes a whole host of challenges, including quick maths, word memory and non-verbal reasoning block-building puzzles to truly put the brain through its paces. For an extra challenge, it even includes some musical challenges and situational puzzles to test logic and deductive abilities. Fun and
engaging, Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training may not have stunning visuals or a story to drive it, but there is no doubt that it is effective for anyone who is looking to put their mental abilities to the test.
Appropriate for all ages. (PEGI 3)
2. Lumo
Lumo is a retro-inspired game that features over 100 maze-like rooms full of puzzles and challenges. You play as a child who is sucked Jumanji-style into a games machine, and must work to solve the game in order to escape. With a vast variety of puzzles, this game is not only a challenge for the brain, but also a lot of fun! Visually stunning, and available across all platforms, Lumo may make a great Christmas gift so your child can improve their reasoning without even realising!
Appropriate for ages 9 and up (PEGI 3)
